Personal Access Tokens
Use Personal Access Tokens to authenticate third party software you want to integrate with VADAAR APIs.
Permissions assigned to tokens are inherited from the user account creating them.
Creating a Personal Access Token
To create a Personal Access Token:
Select the user name in the top right of the window, then select Personal Access Tokens.
In the Personal Access Tokens ribbon, select + Add.
In the Add Personal Access Token dialog, enter the following information:
Setting Description Name An identifiable name for the token as it will appear in the VADAAR system. Expires At Select a date for the token to expire. Leave the field blank to create a token that never expires. Select Add.
In the Add Personal Access Token dialog, select the Copy icon to the right of the token code.
ImportantThe code only appears this one time. If you exit the dialog before you copy the token code, you will need to create a new token.
Save the token in a safe place.
Select Ok.
Result: The personal access token is created and displays in the Personal Access Tokens list.
Deleting a Personal Access Token
Delete personal access tokens to revoke access for previously created tokens.
To delete a personal access token:
Select the user name in the top right of the window, then select Personal Access Tokens.
Select a personal access token from the Personal Access Tokens list.
In the Personal Access Tokens ribbon, select Delete.
- Alternatively, in the Actions section of a token entry, select the Delete icon.
In the confirmation dialog, select Delete.
Result: The personal access token is deleted and is no longer available for use to authenticate VADAAR API calls.
