Diagnostic Collection

Diagnostic files provide ImmersaView Support with information for VADAAR inquiries.

A diagnostic collection contains:

  • The 10 most recent log files from VADAAR Server
  • The Server configuration
  • If the embedded database server is in use, its log file

Download a Diagnostic Collection

Prerequisite

VADAAR Server version 2.1 is required for downloading a diagnostic collection. For older versions, manually collect files from their locations on disk.

To download a diagnostic collection:

  1. Navigate to Settings > About.
  2. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select Download Logs.
  3. In the drop down menu, select Server.

Result: A compressed collection of diagnostic files download to the Downloads folder of your machine.

Log files for Sender, Viewer and the UI need to be collected manually.

File Locations

To manually collect log files, navigate to the below paths:

%PROGRAMDATA%\VADAAR-Server\Logs

User Interface (UI) Logs

Prerequisite

VADAAR Server version 2.2 is required for downloading UI logs.

To download UI logs:

  1. Navigate to Settings > About.
  2. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select Download Logs.
  3. In the drop down menu, select UI.

Result: A UI log file downloads to the Downloads folder of your machine.

Viewer File Locations

To manually collect log files, navigate to the below paths:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\.vadaar\vadaar-viewer

Sender File Locations

To manually collect log files, navigate to the below paths:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\.vadaar\vadaar-sender

Report a Bug

Report a bug with VADAAR on the ImmersaView website using the Report a Bug page. When reporting a bug it is important to include the log files time stamped around the date and time the bug occurred.
