Storage Locations

Use the Storage Location options in the Media Library to organize the media files in your VADAAR system. The Media Library provides options to:

• Create new folders to store media files.
• Upload and download media files.
• Rename and delete media files.

Create New Folders

To create a new folder location:

1. Navigate to Media Library > Storage Locations.

2. Double-click on a Storage Location.

   • Alternatively, select the breadcrumbs to navigate between folders.

3. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select New Folder.

4. In the New Folder dialog, enter a name.

5. Select Create.

Result: The new folder is created and added to the list.

Upload Files

To upload a file:

1. Navigate to Media Library > Storage Locations.

2. Double-click on a Storage Location.

3. (Optional) Navigate to a folder in the Storage Location.

   • Alternatively, select the breadcrumbs to navigate between folders.

4. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select Upload Files.

5. In the Upload File dialog, enter the following information:

   Setting	Description
   Choose File	Choose a file to upload. Acceptable file types are .png, .bmp, .jpg, .mp4, and .mkv.
   Name	Enter the name of the file as it will display throughout the VADAAR system.

6. Select Upload.

Result: The file is added to the selected folder and available in your VADAAR system.

Download Files

To download files:

1. Navigate to Media Library > Storage Locations.

2. Double-click on a Storage Location.

   • Alternatively, select the breadcrumbs to navigate between folders.

3. Select one or more files or folders.

   • Alternatively, double click a folder to select nested files.

4. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select Download File.

Result: The files or folders download to the Downloads folder of your machine. If a file or folder does not download, check the Server Logs for more information. See Diagnostics.

Edit Files

To edit a file, recording, or folder:

1. Navigate to Media Library > Storage Locations.

   • Alternatively, select the breadcrumbs to navigate between folders.

2. Double-click on a Storage Location.

3. Select a file, recording or folder.

4. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select Edit.

5. In the Edit dialog you can change the following information:

   Setting	Description
   Name	The name of the file as it will display throughout the VADAAR system.
   Type	The type of file. This field only exists for files and is used when debriefing.

6. Select Save.

Result: The file, recording, or folder updates as configured.

Delete Files

To delete a file, recording, or folder:

1. Navigate to Media Library > Storage Locations.

2. Double-click on a Storage Location.

   • Alternatively, select the breadcrumbs to navigate between folders.

3. Select a file, recording, or folder.

   • Alternatively, double click a folder to select nested files.

4. In the toolbar at the top of the page, select Delete.

5. In the Delete File? dialog, select Delete.

Result: The file, recording, or folder deletes from the storage location.
